Go Get Your Friday Strut On
You know that moment in movies where the main character is thriving in life and there is an inspiring clip of her power walking down the street with a new pep in her step while some cheesy/uplifting song is playing in the background? Well… some days I find myself reenacting that exact moment. A good song comes on in my headphones and all of a sudden I am walking down the street like the most confident women that ever existed. I am smiling at people and people are smiling right back at me. The whole world is checking me out… or at least that’s how it feels in the moment.
It’s an AMAZING feeling.
I spent the entire morning trying to write an article about THAT moment, but everything I wrote felt dishonest in some way. You see, I have this cinematic walking down the street moment of pure joy pretty regularly and I’ve been wanting to share it with my “fans” (aka my mom, dad and friends that I practically force to read my blog by asking them every day if they have read my latest article yet… love you guys), but I felt I could only share that moment if I could figure out the greater meaning of it. I felt that moment in and of itself was not enough. But that is BULLSHIT. Why would I discount perfect moments in time where my life feels cinematic. Moments like that are beautiful and deserves to be read about on the internet… or better yet, EXPERIENCED.
So let me tell you my word of advice for this beautiful Friday: STOP over analyzing those special moments in life and start cherishing the hell out of them.
IT’S FRIDAY AND I WANT ALL OF MY FRIENDS TO GO HAVE A GOOD OL’ STRUT DOWN THE STREET. SMILE AT THOSE RANDOM STRANGERS AND LET YOUR INNER LIGHT SHINE BECAUSE YOU DESERVE IT!
